ABOUT THE AUTHOR

L.R.Chaudhary
He holds a Masters degree in geology from the University of Rajasthan, India. Over the years, he has been actively associated in various oil and gas field exploration and development activities. Between 1959 and 1975, the author, then an employee of ONGC, worked mostly in the Cambay Basin in various disciplines. While with the ONGC, he was actively associated in the discovery and development of several oil and gas fields in the northern Cambay Basin, and subsequently in the study of its subsurface stratigraphy and basin geology. Between 1975 and 1987, Deminex employed him as a subsurface geologist and geochemist in Iran and Egypt. Since 1987, he ahs been consulting to the oil industry in India. He is an active member of AAPG since 1975.
